About Me

Life has a way of throwing challenges and hurtles at us when we least expect it. At times we can easily overcome the barriers but for the other times we may need to reach out support. As a therapist, I hope to walk along with you to overcome the difficult times and trials. Therapy can offer a safe place to help us decrease emotional stress, understand how our past affects us today, and help us to develop the tools to move forward. I am a licensed Creative Arts Therapist with 4 years of clinical experience and specialize in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety and stress, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I strive to be genuine, developing positive relationships so I can be a partner in your healing process.

In my last 4 years of practice, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals in both a residential program for veterans and in a community health clinic. In working with hundreds of different individuals with complex trauma, co-occurring diagnoses, and a large variety of other diagnoses, I have come to utilize an eclectic style in therapy. I hope to tailor sessions to each individual using a variety of techniques including talk-therapy, non-verbal therapies (EMDR), and art based techniques. In this difficult time, I hope to offer a unique way to receive therapy from the safety of your own home.

The path to healing is not a straight line and can at times feel like an impossible task, but we do not have to walk this path alone. The human body is incredible, holding the power to recall difficult memories, bury negative thoughts in an attempt to try to keep us safe, and to remind us of unfinished business through physical sensations and mental triggers. However, the body also has immense strength to heal itself given the right environment and support.

It would be an honor to be a part of your journey towards health and happiness.
